Once again i am back with a piece of great news. My sturisomas spawned minutes ago! Woke up suddenly and couldn't get back to sleep. Decided to check out my fishes in the dark with a torch light. And there i caught them in the act! Wasted no time and quickly got my camera and started to take videos. Videos are taken in the dark with a 3 led torchlight. Gosh! I am so surprised that they bred as i suspected they were both males when the female started to grow bristles at the side of her face days ago. And now she proven to me that she is a real female! How lucky can i get. Looks like i am on the bull run with spawning my fishes!

This is the lastest update 'live'! Till now the egg count is at 133! And seems like they are still at it. Now waiting for the rest of the videos to upload and i will post them up.

Final count of eggs at 212 eggs! Spawning has stopped and the male keeps chasing the female away when she tries to come near.
Here are the remaining of the video which i capture during the earlier parts of the spawning process.

Please pardon the nonsense me and my wife are spouting. Waking up in the middle of the night and seeing our fish spawn makes us really excited.

The daddy sturisoma had been a wonderful daddy. Keeping the corydoras at bay and taking care of the eggs.

I reckon you will have many chances to practice raising the spawns.
They should be spawning every fortnight or so for you!

The recent weather might be the trigger of spawning activities as long as you have pairs and etc.
