Differance between types of lights

Hi guys. just wondering what the differance was between T5, Metal Halide, fluorescent tubes. Thanks

b) light penetration depth
c) heat

I've got a 5 ft tank. Would it be better if i were to change my fluorescent tubes with T5 tubes?

why are you thinking of changing to t5 tubes? anything that is lacking from your current light setup?

consider changing if you need some benefits such as
a) need more light
b) change from magnetic ballast to e-ballast
c) even light coverage from >4' t5 tubes (compare to t8 or pl)
