Did a slightly better tank cover this morning... although this 1mm thick acetate (previously I used 2mm thick acrylic) is much easier to cut using normal cutter... it is not as clear as acrylic... reducing some of my lightingI think I will continue to search for a solution.
Did a rescape yesterday... moved the bogwood with Spiky Moss to another holding tank... the constant yellowish water (tannin release by the wood) is the main reason.
Here's the new layout... what do you guys think?
Angle shot
The water is crystal clear once more!

don't be sadden bro.. i still love your new scape. how i wish i could do such scape! haha..

I actually like both scapes, but Jervis, you did a rescape with all the inhibitants in there ?!!![]()

most likely it will grow very well with the amount of effort you have put into preparing hte base substrate

Might I suggest cutting a square hole in the center of the acrylic cover, just leaving a couple of inches of border to make a frame? I've noticed the tendency for most fish to make the leapt of faith out the corner or edge of the tank. I used to have problems with a Juwel braceless tank and my kuhli loach until I pasted triangles at the 4 corners.

? they always aim for the corners ?![]()
Finally came up with a solution for the tank cover.
A combination of 2mm thick acrylic towards the front and white plastic net towards the back.
The plastic net will allow the fan to cool the water while the crystal clear acrylic will not compromise the lighting.
I am very happy today
Snail cleaning up my CO2 diffuser once the CO2 supply stops... cute
Here's a front tank shot... with newly added Pogostemon helferi (Downoi) from Tropika
Since it is a sensitive plant... I was told to float the plants (inside a betta box) in the tank for a day or two before planting. And I also made sure that the stem (underneath the leaves) doesn't touch the soil.
What do you guys think?
