hi guys, just got this beautiful piece from limchongyu bro today.
bought it as i want it to make my 20 pieces of boraras brigrittea schools..
but seems like this guy is very shy.. perhaps its day 1 in my tank..
anyway.. i took out my camera and he went straight behind the filter inlet pipe..

hopefully the red colour will deepen..any comments?
    thanks

very nice catch. he's still young and has potential. give him a few days to settle in.

i particularly like the golden sheen on his body. invest in some NLS food and guaranteed you'll see his colours deepen...not just the red on the fins/tail but the body sheen as well

my sparkling gouramis love it. i just fed it to them for the first time today and while they usually dart around the tank, they just spent the last 5min hanging around the surface where the food is floating. the boraras eat it when it sinks.

however, take note that the usual 1mm grains are too big for sparkling gouramis and boraras. you might want to buy the small fish formula instead (0.5mm) or pound/grind thefood to smaller particles if you buy the 1mm ones

he's colouring up as he's getting used to the new environment. he's still young with lots of potential...the dorsal in particular looks like it's going to streak back very far. feed it with the good food as advised and he'll display lovely colouration

Nice pair you got there... Bloom them more since they are still young.

Hi bro, glad that you like the agassizii. The fish seems to be settling in well. He was probably a bit spooked with change of environment before that. With care the dorsal can grow very long, and the tail will become "spikier" with age. Forgot the term for the tail.

I'm going to try out some NLS pellets too, once I get my hands on the pellets that is.
