I believe you guys are talking about the cheap taiwan brand co2. I also got this problem. 2-3 years already and I'm still adjusting the c02 output until the knob get quite loose.

Recently, I got another cheap regulator (no pressure reading) for $20 at NA. Also same problem. Chan from NA said that if you need very fine adjustment, he can only guarantee the expensive type. Needly adjustment is usually required for small tank.

Your regulator is fine. The drifting of bubble count is due to the crappy needle valve. I replaced the needle valve on my Kare's set with a Festo part and have no problem since. I can even adjust the bubble count rate to 1 bubble every 4 secs for my 1-footer. The 1st and 2nd on the left are Festo needle valves and the 1 on the right is the original valve that came with the Kare's set. You'll have to use polyurethane airline with the festo valve. Check out http://www.festo.com/singapore. They have a local office.

I'm having the same problem, looks like using the needle valve is a cheaper solution.

Where did you get the needle valve? The main office?
How do you connect it to the co2 tank?

Yes, you can get it at the main office. Check the online catalog and call them for a quote before going down. In pneumatics, they are known as flow regulator. You'll have to ensure that the screw thread matches. To fit, just wrap the threads with some teflon tape and screw it in. You can get the polyurethane airline there too.
