    YouTube - Hand fed discus
The scape is about a month old, thinking of changing the plants to the left, never expected it to be so tall. the thing spreads like wild fire. Any suggestions?

Nice tank. I would add US fissiden onto the wood if this is mine.

Thanks, but not so easy to tie them on, the wood is more than half the tank long. To tie fissiden all that length would take forever.

Feed it often like that, so that it is not so shy. Why do you ask so?

It's a good start to train an extremely shy discus to feed with your hand, well done, I'm proud of your effort!
Not many of us, can do it. but you had proved us that you can do it.
    cheers

In my opinion, it would be nicer when the background matured with tall growing plants covering the filter's inlet thus having a 'jungle' feel

    Mini rescape

Added some plants, still not too happy with it, maybe needs a few more trimmings to mature.

i think the tank would look alot nicer when the discus grow to their full size. at the moment the tank looks a little too empty fauna wise. a small group of large discus would make the tank much more beautiful

Too many discus for 3ft tank. In fact, discus shouldn't be kept in such small tanks. They should be housed in tanks 4ft and above.

going by the 1 discus per 10 gallons guide that the americans like to use, wouldn't a 3 feet be able to house 4-5 adult discus?

First time rearing discus, never expected all 10 of them to survive, especially after reading how high their requirements are. However the only side effect of having too many of them is their size is limited. As long as their water conditions are met they should be okay I think.

Actually priority was the plants, not the discus.
