    Hi,

recently, I bought a spiral CO2 diffusor from C328 and there are no instructions to how to connect and which direction to face it. I was using a DIY reactor but it dissolved too much CO2, so decided to use a diffusor to reduce the CO2 intake for tank due to conditioning to prepare for shrimps.

    Can anyone advise on this?
    Regards,
    Brigitte

There should be a white ceramic surface which is where the CO2 will escape and attempt to dissolve in your tank water before it escapes to the surface. The other part is the glass tubing which you will attach your DIY CO2 tubing to it. Not very sure if the pressure of DIY CO2 will be able to pass through so many round of spirals and then attempt to escape through the ceramic pores though...anyway good luck! []

does the spiral glass diffusor have 2 openings at one end and a single opening at the other end? it there a straight glass tube through the middle of the spiral?
if your spiral is the same as what i described then connect the co2 tube to the middle straight glass tube and keep this portion in the up position. single opening is at the bottom.

It would be good if you could describe your diffusor as there are so many makes on the market...

hi there, i used that before and the Co2 tube should be connected to the top opening and imo this is not suitable for tank lesser then 2.5ft.

Hi all, thanks for ur advice. My spiral diffusor is that type with 2 openings, all glass. The centre straight glass is the one I connect to. Apparently, it works after I take out the bubble counter, I think it's becos of a leak somewhere in my DIY counter. I'm using all DIY stuff, so my older DIY reactor (an inverted bottle) achieves 100% dissolved CO2, therefore it's too much for the tank (I think so cos the CO2 indicator shows I need to aerate the tank more due to excess CO2). After I change to the spiral diffusor, the CO2 dissolved in the tank is more stable and normal.
    Regards,
    Brigitte
