hi, there is a white tinge to a tank i just re-scaped last week, previous to this the tank was set up for 6 months nothing has really changed in the tank apart from new plants and moving the tank about a bit. Could it be a bacterial bloom ? any help much appreciated .

sorry, the water has a slight milkiness to it. Its not very bad, but would like to get rid of it if i can. If it is dust i have disturbed will it settle with time?, but it has been a week.

it could be bacteria bloom but most likely dust particle because you just did re-scape. Should settle down within a week. Use those coton wool (not sure the real name ) on your filter, it will help in trapping the dust particle.

If its bateria boom then it will settle in time. Where as if its debris then something to improve your mechanical filtration will do.

Should be bacteria bloom, happened to me when i rescape my tank sometime in December, it took around 5 days for the cloudiness to clear. Do not try to change the water or tampered with the filter and leave everything to nature.

Let us know if it doesn't clear.
