    Hi All,

I've an Ecco 2234 since mid 2004. I stopped using the unit for a year when I was away from home. Recently, I have recommissioned it into active duty but alas, there is a leak...

I thought that the leak was due to an old O ring and got a new one yesterday. Unfortunately, after replacement of the O ring the filter is still leaking. I managed to isolate the leak. Water is trickling from near the bottom of the orange release catch at the interface of the motor section and the canister body.

Appreciate if anyone of you could share your experience or advise on my predicament. Thanks in advance!

Hmm... no one seems to have anything to share?

I did more of my own investigation and think that the source of the leak is somewhere inside the motor section rather than at the interface between the motor section and canister body. This is because I found water to be flowing out of all orificies from the motor section when I turned it over. This is something that I have never experienced before. It is quite strange as the motor is still working. I guess that there might be a hairline crack somewhere inside the motor section.

Oh well, guess that I may have to get a new filter.

I think you should be able to bring it for service if you want to salvage it.
Anyone can share where this could be done?
