Hi guys i was wondering if someone could show me what the symbols for the name ''Beth'' would be in either Japanese or Chinese. Beth is short for Elizabeth and is the name of one of my friends that i would like to get tattooed onto me.

    Thanks very much

There are sites that do translation:

    Look at this:

    http://www.nciku.com/search/zh/beth

    or this:

    http://www.chinesenames.org/find-name-Beth.html

Note that name translation tend to be phonic, i.e. use of characters to approximate the sound and as you can see from the above, often have different results. Perhaps some other forumers can help to say which is better (more meaningful) or sounds better.

sorry but the transaltion for elizabeth is "Yi LI Sha Bai" in han yu ping yin. So shouldn't the beth be "bai" instead?

    Just my two cents worth
