bro. if they have sale for the above 2 cories. do let us know!
As expected...Corydoras hastatus is not available?
Will have to make a trip down Seng Bros Tropical fish farm this weekend to take a look.
Will update everyone here on availability should i decide to buy in bags of 50?
Wish me luck!![]()
bro. any luck in the search for the hastatus and pygmaeus?![]()
Hi simplefool...unfortunately no? Seng bros did not have the pygmaeus, what they had was hasbrosus instead. If it's any consolation i managed to breed my existing pygmaeus?
Hastatus i'm currently STILL searching. Will be making a trip to the states next month so will get a few breathing bags and try there! They're seasonal so might have to start hunting for LFS near where i'm going(california) before i go over.
Checked with suppliers, C. Hastatus season is about 2 - 3months from now...
Hope his words are true!!![]()

I have extra breather bags but be mindful that most Corydorus don't ship well in breathers. If you're planning to check them in, a soda bottle is better. Go with local stock, if possible. Nonetheless, let me know if you need any bags.
Side note: Breeding C. hastatus isn't too difficult. Just need a well-conditioned group, soft-acidic water and plenty of peace. I miss my cories!

be prepare for a 50% DOA when you get a whole bag of fish.
That's what we have experience before.
Or was it 70% to the current date from the time we landed the fish?![]()
Is that true?If so i'll reserve a tank just for them like NOW?Lol...
That's great news for all of us here,do keep us updated if anyone has any sightings of the fishes! Thanks alot for the offer Ron,will look you up for them before i make my trip.A soda bottle works better? Not sure how it'll work better then the breathing bags but guess i'll try? Somehow 70% DOA of livestock is alittle disheartening considering the amount of water we can only hand carry as stated by the AVA site.Hopefull i'll manage to secure a location of LFS before i leave. Now that i know you have knowledge on breeding cories, will have to look you up soon for pointers!
Assuming that your purchased stock is healthy and robust to begin with, a one-day fast and sparse packing (no over-crowding) will help minimize pollution of the shipping water. That alone, will increase survival percentage.
To avoid temperature shock during transit, you might want to consider insulating the shipping box.
In any case, be realistic and be prepared for the worst case scenario. Personally, I'd be more concerned how the airline deal with shipping live stock.
