Sighting 17 Mar 08: Crabs (Parathelphusa sp.) from Sulawesi @ Polyart

I just came back from C328 and saw 2 specimens of crabs(I saw 5 specimens last week instead), claimed to be caught from Sulawesi.

From this paper: http://rmbr.nus.edu.sg/rbz/biblio/54/54rbz381-428.pdf (page 382), the photo in Fig. 1(Parathelpusa pantherina) looks similar to the one I saw in Polyart - very distinctly spotted over the carapace, 2 chelipeds and legs.

So for those who are interested in freshwater crabs, do head down and take a good look.

Eh, ecologically, crabs will whack the shrimps.
