In general, people keep close to 100 shrimp in a 10 gallon tank with 20% water change weekly. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ok I know there's a bio load on fish tanks ( how many fish in a 10g tank ) So is there a over load or max on a shrimp tank?
How many shrimp to a 10g tank with sponge filter?
How many before bio load goes nuts?
I know these would sem like the same questions but differnt answers sould be the norm. I know they say 1 fish per 2.5in on a tank. I have around 75 to a 10g now and only have to clean water once every 2 weeks then it's a 35% water change ( the sponge filter is for a 29g fry tank ) testing the water everyday once in the morning and late afternoon before feedings. never a spike in any of the primes Nitrates,nitrites,ph/gh, none. If there's a changes of .5 in a 8hr period the water is chaged with aged water (aged 72hrs ).
Was just wondering if anybody has every thought about the bio load on a shrimp tank,if it's important to the point of needing to be mentioned in a sticky? Have never heard or seen a question on any post about the bio load or how many to a 10g,20g,30g tanks are just any size tank. I was just wondering lets talk about this.
Had to know before it happened and I couldn't find anything or startedlooking for something on it.
