I doubt very much so, but if ever available, it would extremely rare...

Qian Hu has a Fish Spa thing providing this treatment. Read somewhere (if I am not mistaken) that Qian Hu sells the fish as well. Slippery Little Suckers in KL sells them or did. See

Are these the real Garra rufa? Garra spp. are said to be very difficult to identify.

Pardon the skepticism, but until someone has realiably identified them, I still have doubts. Anyone has any photos of these?

Polyart might still have some. I remember seeing some in a tank with a sign 'Do not put hand inside'.

Eh I based it solely on what Aquastar has written on the tank. Haven't really paid them much attention.
Plus even if i did look at them closely I don't think I know whether they are the true Garra rufa. For those interested its the tank with the newspaper cutting about skin therapy on it.

Chong Yu, don't take it the wrong way, that statement is absolutely not directed at you, it is just a general statement and not to lay blames or faults.

The skepticism is more of curiousity, stemmed from previous alleged shipments where they turned out to be false alarms, plus the fact that they can be difficult to be identified.

No problem Quix. I'm not taking it personally. I'm have doubts as to whether they are the real deal too. Plus I don't have the expertise to identify them properly.

I have been warned by a few shop owners that the "garra rufa" sold in shops are not authentic....do take note

At least they are being honest!!

Try Qian Hu or Biotope if you absolutely insist on the real deal

AquaStar has the Garra Rufa equivalent selling at almost 1/10 times the price:P Bought 10 of them a week ago and mighty pleased with the results Distant cousin of GF that performs the same nibbling sensation at a fraction of the price. I rest my case:P
