where to position a CO2 flipper

Hi,
is it better to position a CO2 flipper nearer or further away from the filter? i am using a hang-on.

How big is your flipper ? the dennerle or the oceanfree 's ? To position the flipper, you have to place it as deep, near the substract , the inlet should be near the substract so as to build enough pressure for it to bubble up. I've seen someone's shrimp tank with the flipper a couple of days back, try searching my post in their threads, the flipper was on the left hand side of his tank.

its a ocean free one.. i think there's only one size... i will position it near the substract. but what i meant is whether should it be near or far away from the hang on filter? i am afraid if too near to the filter whatever CO2 produced might be expel into the surface...

OHF naturally will agitate water surface resulting in some loss of co2, i dont use ladder but a DIY internal nano reactor, however you can make ensure water levels in the tank is high enough so it allows water to flow through and not flow down.
