Currently, i only have 1 fan operating. I would like to ask, How long should we keep the fan on? 24/7 ?
If 24/7 will the motor be overheated?
    thanks

while the fan will not overheat, the fan's operational life will be shortened.
it may last about 1/2 year.

I've my fan hooked onto a timer together with my lights and co2 solenoid. The tank is in my room, so i don't have to hear the buzzing while i'm sleeping and also it lessens the evaporation rate. I only leave my fan on for about 8-10 hours and can u believe it... i have to top up 4 x 2litre jugs = 8litres of water every other day. My tank has a constant temp of 27C, even when fan is off or on.

My temperature is previously 31 even in the night . Last night, when i got the fan, i got it on and achieve a temperature of 27 this morning. As my tank have a hood, that explain the high temperature. If i were to on for 10 hours .. i suppose i should on it only during the day?

Powered or reduce your fan to around 9W, e.g Im using a 12cm with 9 volts, and i leave it on 24/7, keeps the temperature constant at around 26 degrees, it drops to 25/24 during the monsoon season.

Leaving it on 24 hours would be better as the temp would be more constant=D

The only disadvantage of fans and keeping them on is due to the fact you have to top up at least 3-4 L of water per week. Quite a chore but much cheaper than forking out 20-30 dollars extra for keeping a chiller

This are all trade offs as theres no cheap solution to cool your nano tank and is low powered.

haha .. nasty12, i don know abt u.. but seeing those condensation not very appealing to me. make it difficult for me to view the tank. Bu definitely upon seeing the condensation, u know the plants and fishes are in a very comfortable environment.
