    Any one can advise? I am now using white but thinking of switching to red or blue...

    There is no preference as to what colours is required. It all depends on what you want to see. For example, do you want to see a Ap. cacatuoides "red" in his original colours if you are using the normal white light or a Ap. cacatuoides "super red" if you were to use a red light.

    IMHO, preference has been for white light.
    A single piece of apisto alone is usually multi-coloured hence white will allow you to appreciate the fish's colours best.
    Then again, the choice is yours to make.
    It's NOT "Chee lick", NOT "Chee Chee Licks"!!! Cichlids is pronounced as "Sick Lids"!!!!!
