    Hmm... I am not sure if this is P. eppleyi, but I thought that it is the yet to be described species from Peru, which is known in the trade as "Tiger Oto".

    P. eppleyi is found in upper and middle areas of the Orinoco basin in Venezuela. The real P. eppleyi looks like this and the snout profile don't seem to match.

    Here is another picture found on the Internet, which I think is the real (or similar looking) P. eppleyi.

    yes, i agree, they are different on their snout

    for the pic in planetcatfish, i think it is special one which marked on cf. and
    i think it is different with both species

    here is the pic i got from the magazine,
    which is mentioned that P. eppleyi is come from Rio Orinoco
    and i found their different on the color only
    the magazine shown which is much gold
    and the river picture had been took at Rio Orinoco basin
    this is the writer who find the P. eppleyi over there
    hmm..... i m not sure if the P. eppleyi is same as tiger oto
    may be difference location, it may have different color ......
    i dont know it. anyone can help for more info ?
