Hi all,
this is my current tank waiting for rescape.
Trying to soak the wood so it is left like that for the moment.
Plants I intend to keep will be
Japanese Hairgrass
Masilea
Crypts
Don't know the name( plant on the rear left)
Thinking of using spiky moss for my wood
Dont know what to do with the algae ball, mini nana and US fissidens.(might take out)
Can anyone give me your opinions how should I place my wood and the 4 types of plants?

i am sorry that i have very little knowledge on the crypt ID, all i know is i got them from colourful at thomson.
as for the wood, i got it from Y618
Oh, the bogwood hasn't absorb water long enough to sink in? You can grab some stones and hold it in place first. May want to keep more plants to deal with algae in the future because, HG/Masilea are all slow growing.

i tried using my baby's bathtub to soak for a week in the bathroom and it still didnt sink.....no choice but to move it into the tank as the bathtub is taking up too much space in the bathroom.
Thanks for your advice, I am reducing the lights and preforming frequent and huge water change to control algae
Larlee, it takes about a month to really sink, leave your "enchanted strips" on your magical forest till then.
1 Month!!!
Then I shall not wait liao....I will move all the plants in place to the position I want while waiting for it to sink.....
Your metal strips should be sufficient to hold it down, add some some rocks if you want.
Spend some time over the weekend to arrange my plants

Yes I understand it will be attack by algae.....was thinking to let it settle down then cut the leaves away for new leaves. Hopefully, it will not get algae then.

Hey dude....what u you could try is a get a acrylic plate...silicone your wood to the plate...then place the whole thing into your substrate....1 Month!!!

Just an idea...but since you already planted...well...it's your call....but this way...its def definitely shorter than 1 month....but normally it dosent doesn't take that long either...
