Is it green spot algae?is your light too strong? Nana tend to have green spotted algae if expose to too strong lights. I once did an experiment in the same tank with 2 nana, 1 expose to strong light whereas the other in shade. result - nana in strong light has green spot algae, the 1 in the shade flowered

How to get rid of algae on the nana leafs?
get rid of the nana leaves with algae!

Sorry, couldn't resist making the above statement, but this could be an option (mechanical) depending of the extent & severity of your algae problem. Other options include adding suitable algae cleaning crews (biological) or tweaking your water parameters (chemical). Maybe you could provide more information on your tank and the suspected algae for better advices?

You've got one small leave growing out ya?

Cut all the rest if you must. No worries. I did that to 6 pieces of nanas in my tank, cutting all but leaving a few new leaves, and now after 1 month, they each have around 4 leaves, and more are growing.

Try to move them into the shade though, to prevent algae growth again.
    Cheers,
    Sean

brown diatoms usually just comes off easily, not sure why yours sticks fast... If quite bad, just cut off the leaves only, it will grow nice green ones back up.

Stan Chung wrote a great article on How to Care for Anubias Nana Petite. It's worth a read.

Sound like you have green spot algae, or a deficieny.

Hi Shirley. A pic in this case would be best. Without it, we're all assuming what kind of algae it may only be and simply shooting blanks.

Have that on some of my nana as well. Since only 1 or two leaves have them, i usually trim them off and put under shade of scape or taller plants.

It's true that the bros wrote here, that to cut off those affected leaves. In order to keep these plants small in size for your tank, simply trim the leaves near the rhizome with a pair of scissors. It grows well from cutting off the bad leaves and can usually propogate it easily, it will propogates by the side on the rhizome. Good luck.

Do you have a fert regimen. An imbalance of plant food and co2 can cause GSA on the leaves..
