One bag 9kg cost about $48. Having low pH in a tank some plants really look different.

Just a question, does the ADA aquasoil feels like soil in texture, as in it can disintegrate if stirred or pressed?

Sam Yick has a 'new' shop in Joo Chiat, some of their tanks are using some aquatic soil, and I heard no need to put base fert. But also heard that cannot clean the glass wall below the soil level as the acrylic sheet will stir up quite a big mess.

Do you guys know anything like this?

Those aquasoil i use are just mare gravel thats all, i still put in base fert . After a long period of time i think the gravel will slowly crush. There is this nisso volcanic soil which is said that no base fert is required.

i'm not sure about which product u're stating , anybody else to clarify?
    Cheers!

I think someone in this forum actually wanted to do that, the cost for shipping over here is relatively on the high side and not everyone can afford such gravel.

A normal 4ft tank will use about 5packs of that and tht alone will cost you $250 est value on gravel alone. They aslo encourage people to use their ADA base fert which will add in the cost as well. ADA products are nice for the eyes not for the pocket.
    Cheers!

is the gravel orange red in colour? if it is than i think far east aquarium is using it in their tanks. you can call to check, but i think must order first. no ready stock.
