thought of using undergravel filter for CRS Tank. is it a better choice on top of biofiltration?

Gex shrimp and plant soil lowers pH but causes algae bloom?

Eventually undergravel filter will clog and hence not a poor flowrate etc, that's what i heard of.

I have used undergravel for my tank and I would say it's depended on your setup how to prevent the clog issue. Personally I feel that the undergravel filter help to stabilize the pH of my 1ft tank since it makes water constantly flow through the GEX soil. Before I switched to undergravel filter, whenever I change water (dripping method), the pH only stablizes back after 1-2 days. Now there is not even a slight change
