I have a few pieces of Crs in my 3 Ft tank, few months ago, saw like two of them pregnant. But, recently, i only spotted two juvenile shrimps. They're roughly 1.5cm big. Wondering what happened to the rest of them. Water parameter remained the same. Possible that the babies couldn't get use to the environment and died? Would also like to know how the shrimps develop from eggs to babies. Is it lay eggs and then hatch? Rough number of babies per birth.
Only have 3 Otos with my crs. So very low chance of predators in my tank.

The female carries the eggs until she is ready to release the shrimplets, take about 22 days.

How many babies per spawn? Hard to say, in bad enviroment, the female starts to drop eggs and when it ready to release, may just left with a few. And not all the shrimplets will make it to adulthood. A females can have up to 20+ eggs or more depend on how mature it is.
