Bogwood probelm

Hi all,I bought a bogwood last week for my new Apistogramma tank.I had soaked it in water for the passed week and there is always a layer of white jerry like substance surfacing out from all parts of the wood.What is this substance and how long will I be able to get rid of it?

Ive had my share of your problem. Just leave the wood alone for a week or so and the white jelly will disappear.
