you can break the algae walfer in to half and let the fishes swarm and eat the algae wafer then put the remaining wafer in away from the first wafer.
Need some advice as per title pls...
No matter how well they are fed, my tetras, guppies and other fishes will swarm over the algae wafers meant for my otos depriving the latter of their food, I'm worried they will die of starvation!

On a weekly basis, drop a nice boiled zuccini in your tank for about an hour, no one will compete that with your otto.
I don't intentionally feed my otos because I want them to work, work, work to clean the algae, the glass, etc... I'm a slave driver
I have 2 zebra otos and one normal oto in my 2ft comm tank.
I feed them tetrabits
Because my apisto is a messy eater, food scraps are left on the substrate.
My 3 otos then scavenge on the food scraps left on the substrate.
I know otos are supposed to be eating algae and all, but I have zebra otos in there! I don't want them to starve to death!
Throw in boiled leafy vegetable, most inhabitants don't eat it except for oto. btw i feed my oto n shrimp fresh hair algae from the pond.
