Hi Bro
I'm using 20x30x30 tank size to keep a batch of apisto fries. For a 1ft cube tank will be just nice or min requirement. To be better will be a 2ft tank if you want to keep them forever.![]()
hi everyone.. would like to know what is the minimum tank size for raising a batch of apisto fries? im not sure how many fries will be for a batch.. but it will be 30 - 50 right? was wondering if a 1ft cube tank using hang on filter with biohome can raise them healthly? or even a 15x30x30(1ft cube divide by 2) with just spong filter will do the job? with daily WC? thanks...![]()

hmm... won't be keeping them forever.. no space to keep them.. will be selling off when i guess its 2 - 3cm?
will the 15x30x30 be too small? cause i have 2 pair of apisto.. and i only have 1 more tank for raising fries...
15x30x30 just nice for a type of spices.

I have raised up a batch of 40 fries from eggs till 2cm in a 1ft cube tank with HOF,no problem with it.
I realised that shifting of the fries into another tank when they are less than 2 mths old will lost about 30-50% of the batch whereas keeping them in the same tank will lost less than 10%,so I usually relocate the parents to another tank.
ohh.. okay learn a new thing today. thanks
