    Hi Bro,

Loose riccia will look messy from this view.
    try netting them up.

Hey bro, hope you managed to get back the HP you lost the other time?Overall looks good! Can't wait for the etenellus to start spreading and covering up the base...Good point regarding riccia blocking up the lights, its just that riccia have a very bad habit of falling all over the place and start growing wherever they land.It could pose as a problem if you want the rest of your tank scape untouched?Like me,you could try small floating plants like the frogbit or hornwort? They'd look just as nice IMHO.You could try them out if you like,if you can't find any...i'd be happy to pass some to you!

    thanks aquanatix!
but it seems rather fine.. even though filter is on full power.. the riccia still stays at the top and not float all around! maybe when they get thicker il just harvest and sell away.. or when they become a problem like u mentioned. =)

    heres day 2:

    and the inbitant.

Guess as long as the riccia floats it should be perfectly fine?
So long as it serves your purpose of limiting light i belive any plant would be the same!
Anyway it gives a very wild and abused look which might work after the tank matures.
Do keep up posted on developments!

Ya, i forsee a wild and mature tank once it takes form.

    Eeemo,
High light and co2 should be more than adequent for your E.red diamond, give it about 4 weeks or so. I think your E. tenellus will probably be the first to invade everything in your tank
