    Hi Folks,

    Currently i had soak my newly purchased bogwood in the tank and have notice some slime stuff on the bogwood..Is it normal during soaking period or should i brush them away??

    Bro

    try to scrub a little again then soak in hot water. Kills all kinds of stuff in there and also reduce the yellowing of the water when put in the tank.

    Oh okie.. I just did a massive search at the forum, found out that it may be some kind white aglae growing in it.. Will do a manual scrub at those slime stuffs later...

    i bought a bogwood as well today.. but will only put in later after i decided what "theme" i want to put in.. any idea bro?

    Boak wood usually requires a fair bit of soaking into for it to sink properly into the tank. For these impurities, just soak in hot water and brush it away. I sometimes soak my stones/wood in bleach to remove algaes and repeat the soaking for hot water again to have the bleach leech out for about a week, before putting into the main tank.
