    Hi,
what are the species of Sturisoma (aka Helicopter) that we could normally find over at C328 florist? I had trouble identifying them online at planetcatfish.

    Appreciate your pointers.

    Cheers!

I believe the ones we usually get are S. panamense and auruem.
Its quite hard to tell these two apart.
As laymen the best bet is to use size as the guage to ID them.
However the disadvantage is that its only possible when they are adults.
btw S. auruem is the smaller of the two at about 5.9 in vs 7.9 in SL for panamense.

Thanks for sharing, Celticfish and Savant. I suppose it is really hard to tell the 2 specimens apart .

    Cheers!
