Hi drake, the plant on the front(right) and back (left) seems to be non-aquatic plants and they may slowly dies off and foul up the water. Since your pleco will be generating lots of waste, it might be good to replace those plants as soon as possible..

Furthermore, 12 pleco seems like quite a high load for your 2 ft tank, your filter system must be very powerful to maintain good water quailty...

All the plants are bought at LFS as water plants . Will look into it . I am thinking of moving some out of the tank too but need to set-up another tank ... Thanks for the informations man .

I remember reading it here on some of the posts about this Dracaena plant. Maybe you can do more research on it.

Actually I'm planning to get some pleco too. But maybe just 2 piece of small L30 for tryout. Have fun!

its good to have many plants as they absorb nitrates but take note some plants die in strong currents! and yes.. the plant with its base stuck into a wood block is not an aquatic plant.

I agree about the non-aquatic plant removal.
btw if you guys want real nitrate suckers, use the money plant (dont know the scientific name...) or the plant they have during Chinese New Year.
They look like green bamboo and they curl them into cylindrical spirals.

Probably because its "still" water, stagnant.
Just have to put a little of the bottom in the tank water.
This should encourage root growth to suck up the nasty stuff.

Yup, its the "normal" money plant.
    Good for feng shui too!
Like the other plant just have the root in the water.
Where you curls the rest of the plant... I have no idea too!
But with some off-the-wall ideas you might just be able to blend it into your room.

Haha . Curl it on the cannister filter in-let pipe and also on the air pump tubing
