    Hi guys

Out of impulse during my last trip to Japan, I bought an ADA Solar I 150W MH fixture.

The label on the E-ballast shows (see picture):

I interpreted it as a "universal" ballast able to run on both 100V and 200V (at 50/60Hz). Just want to get your views on this before I fire it up.

    Thanks very much!

    Jervis

A bit worry though because singapore is if I'm not mistaken 230V

The is a 299V writting, what is that? maximum input voltage? if so then it should be ok

Yes I am definitely worried... that's why I don't dare to plug it in

The 299V does seem to be maximum input voltage... we need someone who can read Japanese

We highly suggest that you get a voltage step-down transformer to be safe given that Singapore is using 220-240volts, 50Hz.

if you lan to get a step-down transformer, ensure that the transformer has correct rating. your transformer needs to be rated at about 250va.

I once checked with midori is that you need a step down transformer to use with ADA solar MH light. You can call midori or biotope for advise. Hope this helps.
