Fondly referred to as 'The Tank' by many Singaporeans who used it as a landmark meeting point, the aquarium at Wisma Atria shopping mall was less than hallf full today, as divers removed its residents for a journey to their new home - the Underwater World at Sentosa.
Sara Ann K witnessed the 'big fish move'.

I feel sad not to have a last look at those marine fishes. The marine aquarium is really a good meeting point when I was back in secondary school time. At the same time, perhaps it's a joyous thing that the marine fishes join the Underwater world instead.

Nah, i don't think they are doing so. i read in the papers that the vacated space will be transformed into retail space. wasted...
I suppose it makes economic sense to rent that space out for $60k a month... instead of spending $60k a year maintaining it. I am surprise the tank can last for 22 years![]()
Ya, the well know Wisma tank wowed many of us when the blue theme shopping centre first opened 2 decades ago, i still remember telling my mum " shark shark !" lol.
Sad... used to just stand there staring at the llittle shark...
