How to remove surface film for 1ft OHF tank?

i have a 1 foot tank running on dymax OHF ...how to remove the surface film ?

One unconventional way is using kitchen tissue, let it float on the surface and it will absorb the oily film. you can use newspaper also, it will not harm the flora or fauna.

I use kitchen towerl as well, as i just damp the water surface and scope them up with very fine mesh net.

sometimes, its due to food.
