Craig's 35L ADA Nano tank

Hey Guys,

Im new here and thought id share some pictures of my aquarium about 3 or so months old

Im 14 years old and have been keeping fish for about 5 years now

Im from Australia, a really nice place, but in W.A we have some strict laws regarding import of plants, which makes it hard to get a good collection of rarer plants.

The tank is 45cm and runs of pressurized co2 and ADA fertz and aquasoil.

Im hoping to enter this in the ADA 2008 comp, so any ideas you can give me to improve will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Craig, didn't expect you to be so young and a big mind. This is an excellently presented aquascaping with good composition. I like the choice of your DW centre placement, hopefully will not cover by plants too much cause it's a main attraction. The plants are pretty and healthy, there is a small problem on the left foreground that the HC not fully covered or is it intended this way. Last add some schooling colourful fishes to make it lively. Other than that everything is perfect, my 2 cents thought. See your tanks in the ADA contest. Cheers.

The overgrown background plant (are those Blyxa?) reduces the depth of the tank... but then they are so healthy looking... gonna be a waste to "thin" them

Yea the filter leaks, a bit dodgy. Its a Tom rapids mini cannister.

The foreground on the left is still to fill out.

Im hoping to add some tread fin rainbows (an Australian native fish

)

Was wondering how come the filter sits nicely in the mini tank on your right, able to silicone the leaks ?

If i silicone the leaks, i wont be able to open it up to clean etc

Welcome to AQ, excellent scape. The plants looks healthy. How big are tread fin rainbows? Since this is a small tank, smaller fish will look better overall.

Very Nice scape William

Lighting: 2x36W CF. 1x 6500K and 1x 10000K
Co2: Pressurized at about 1.5bps.
Fertz: ADA step 2, Brighty K, Special lights, Seachem excel - daily and iron every few days.
Fauna: 2 Ottos, 1 SAE, 20 or so Black more river Caradina (shrimp)
Plants: HC, Blya, Xmas moss, D.Diandra, Crypts, Anubias.

I wonder whether it is possible to get the 2X36W light set online? I have been trying to get this type of lights in Singapore but I cant find any. How long is your lighting duration? 8hrs?

Great job! There are no signs of algae in ur tank

2x 36w are quite common? Both qianhu/delightings and NA no stock?
