Whenever, I visit the aquariums. I noticed that they have a display tank featuring their most precious species.
And also, they keep a array of species together; like, lou han and parrots together. I thought that lou han are extremely territorial. I was just wondering is there any special techniques to introduce such fishes together wihout much harm inflicted upon each other.

aggressive can be reduce if the tank is big and when there r more than one of the same species in the same tank. when dealing with high terrorital fishes, best to keep them alone to prevent any fatal attacks..

According to my experience......parrot for unknow reason, can be kept together with oscar or lou han.

i had 2 flower oscar in a 2 ft tank about 3 inch in size. than one day one of my campmate introduce 2 blue gourami and 1 parrot fish. i predicted that all the fish will be killed within 2 weeks, but to my surprise they survived. only that the gourami got chased around.

same thing when 1 lou han was introduce and 2 over sized oscar got removed. only that one of the gourami died wthin 2 days. but the parrot fish is still alive and kicking.

no specified method of introduction was applied.

introduce the more aggressive species later than cthe more docile ones and try to get the aggressive at a young age that way, the fish will learn that its tankmates take more priority over it.

Maybe parrot fish don't look like fish to them. IMO, the parrot fish looked like a "deformed" fish.

    Personally, I don't like "man-made" fishes.

As for territorial behavoir, most fishes just display their territorial aggression toward their kind. Some fishes when ready to spawn will mark their territory for their spawn and chase all fishes from their territory.

    Some fishes are pure carnivores.

It really depends on which fish you plan to mix.

Some fish just do not do well with others and are better left alone.
