    Hi all,
    Just wondering wheather two 150W 20K is sufficent enough for my 5 ft reef tank. The light is second hand lights from ocean free brand. what would be your recommandation...
    Can i change the ballast if i will to upgrade to 250W?

    how old are the lights? how long had it been switched per day? Old lights, u need to consider the spectrum.. some of them might have already exceeded 1.5 yrs (estimated lifespan per light)and due to change soon.

    As for the ballast, i'm not too good on the electrical side.. cant help u.. but i gather that u might need to change the ballast if the initial ballast can only support 150W

    also, i personally find the 20K is a bit on the bluish side. Take note that these lights are gonna bring up your temp.
