anyone know?
Anyone know if the rainbar can be positioned vertically, or is the displayed horizontal setup the only positioning? also..for the wide nozzle add-on, is it the ugly green or a more easily concealable colour?
i hate the ugly green of eheim pipes, and i have to spend money to get rid of it![]()
anyone know?
Maybe you could ask to chek the inside of the packaging for the rainbar? If the rainbar can be fixed without the 2 L-shaped parts then it'll suit your purpose. Other than this I've no other ideas, since I've not used the installation sets before.
Here's the link http://www.eheimasiapacific.com/Engl...llationset.htm but I guess you'd have gone through it before.
Edit: From the eheim international website http://www.eheim.de/eheim/inhalte/in...ail_27655_ehen, the parts do seem detachable.
I diy my own rainbar to the black pipe sold at LFS and drill my own holes to ensure balance distribution. At least that's what I hope to achieve. And yes, it is placed vertical at the corner of the tank.
thanks for the link chongyu! i did some research but didn't manage to find any further information on the installation kit addons.

the flow rate indicator and inline diffusor are very tempting for me if they can be obtained locally...that way i can have everything in 1 setup...perhaps i can live with the horizontal spraybars if my co2 is diffused directly in before the spraybar so i can achieve a misting effect?
I've not seen them around much in LFSes, but then most of the time i just go to the few LFSes in Yishun. Perhaps you can get them at C328 or Qianhu? I'll keep a lookout for you at Y618 which carries some Eheim merchandise.
I've seen installation set 1 (inlet) at C328, but not installation set 2 and all its accessories. probably need to give auntie the order numbers for her to order. alternatively, i could just drive down to qian hu.
i was at NA earlier and Chan allowed me to take a look at the installation set 2. seems like vertical setup is possible, and they even provide the wide spray jet and the nozzle as part of the set!
now here's the controversial question: how does the wide spray jet compare with lily pipes?
