My riccia stop producing pearl bubbles. I guess they are now demanding fertiliser. Can I know what kind of common fertiliser that I need to buy for my riccia and glosso ?

You will need N, P, K and trace element. Confuse? go for all in one like seachem flourish or other brand.

I like it...are you monitoring the co2 levels along with other water parameters?

    Keep it up

If you are desperate enought, can try the PMDD method of dosing.....

I'm only monitoring the CO2 level. Lately I bought ADA's Green Brighty Special LIGHTS and everyday I dose 1 spurt into my tanks. Seems like my plants grow very fast. The java moss start to grow like a bowl. My glosso also start to spread and my riccia start to pearl again. A good sign

Below are the descriptions of Green Brighty Special Lights from ADA. I guess I give my plants the correct nutrients.

In a layout with plants requiring higher light conditions such as Glossostigma and Riccia, the requirements for nutrients such as Nitrogen and Phosphorous are also high. Although these elements are produced from fish waste products, remnants of fish food and dead leaves of aquatic plants, they are quickly absorbed by such plants as Riccia and Glossostigma and are often in shortage. Green Brighty Special LIGHTS is a nutrient formula containing trace elements Nitrogen and Phosphorous for healthy growth of plants.

Yup, good choice on liquid ferts. It helps when you have a strong initial start with a densely planted tank. Maintain and update us again.

Sorry for not posting the 2nd week photos.
These are the photos of the 3rd week.

    Full Tank View

Glosso Lawn. The leaves start to spread across the soil and covering it. The roots also start to grow across the soil and strengthening its grip to the soil.

Riccia Blocks. The riccia starts to bloom very fast after I dosed the tank with fertiliser. The riccia blocks become the new place for the shrimps to hide and scavenging for food.

Now I'm waiting for my glosso to grow and I will put the the riccia block among the glosso to form a dense carpet of riccia + glosso lawn. But I believe the riccia will be pretty hard to manage as they grow like wild grass.

Hehehe ... I also dunno how the algae formed on the wood. I thought the algae will create nuisance. Who knows you guys like it so much.

Anyway, I start to worry on how to maintain the riccia. They grow pretty fast. But one good thing is, my shrimps like to mingle among the riccia. Somehow I also worry that they will get lost in the thicket of riccia

    Very nice and lush growth.

Do consider exchanging the positions of your Riccia and Glosso. Right now, it feels like your back is very bare.

Riccia is a high maintenance plant. You will need to periodically remove and retie it for it to keep its shape.
Otherwise you can just pull bits and pieces off to ensure that light can reach the bottom.

Hmmmm .... something interesting to share. After 2 months I bought this wood shrimp, it finally comes out to filter the water while the light is still on. Sometimes I wonder whether this shrimp already dead or not due to its absence.

This cherry shrimp seems to be stuck between wooden blocks of riccia.

One nice pose of my yamato's butt.

The riccia still pearling even though I turned off the CO2 regulator for 2 hours already.

not hing special, just cut like hair cut . If it is removable, remove it from the tan and do the cutting. Cutting inside the tank is ok but you will have problem removing the left over. For glosso, just wait a bit longer and it will grow like weed

Hehehe .... I guess the weather is pretty hot lately, so the wood shrimp comes out to cool down.

I bought 2 young SAEs and 3 galaxy rasboras. Can those 3 galaxies be put together with my shrimps ?

hmm...my galaxy rasboras were eating my shirmplets. no proof though but when they were around, my cherries were pregnant but rarely see shirmplets.after removing them, moved them to another tank, there were many more shrimplets swimming freely..just my suggestion
