yup.. but i personally try it before with brine shrimp eggs which i got from aquastar(80% hatch rate >) followed the steps correctly but still, the eggs didn't turn orange(Which means its decapped)
i ended up getting some decap brine shrimp from forumner..

Just a point to note, the decap bbs eggs sold at aquanova are non-hatchable.
Also, the 454g will be too much for a single people unless you owned lots of fishes, best to share with some others.

Alternatively, you can try feeding Cyclop-eeze freeze-dried. Size wise, a tad larger than brine shrimp eggs. It contains a huge amount of Astaxanthene and Highly Un-saturated Fatty Acids and according to the studies done by the producing company, it beats brine shrimp in nutritional value.

I have no problems feeding it to cichlid fries and other fishes. Think the bright orange colour is a major attraction. I have fed decaps before and somehow have come to prefer cyclop-eeze as it is more convenient since I don't have to decap it. A can of 30 grams cost about 12 to 13 bucks and can last a pretty long time even if you have loads of fries to feed. I personally separate a 30 gram can into 4 small zip-lock packs and use a pack at a time in the fridge.

Just don't get the cyclop-eeze flakes. Never got any of my fishes to eat it. Think I am going to use the flakes to make frozen food like the european shrimp mix so won't waste it.

my adult fish eat the cyclopeeze flakes i have both forms of cyclopeeze you mentioned as well as decap bs eggs and as i don't have to decap the eggs myself (i bought mine already decapped) i prefer the eggs. cyclopeeze does have a strong smell that attracts fish though.

Yep, it does have a strong smell similar to "belachan" and also tend to clump together. The smell is not as strong as the stench given off by microworms though. Eewww!

Even my turtle spits out the flakes....and he is the least picky of my pets...
