    Hi,

I just started my tank not long ago and now it's infested with green hair algae where I have to pull out from plants myself. Another problem I'm facing is green algae on the glass tank itself. Can't seems to get rid of it by using ordinary scrapper, even steel wool also can't clean it properly.

Is tetra brand a good scrapper to buy? or any recommendations? I need to get one today cos I buay tahan the stains on the glass of the tank liao.
    Regards,
    Brigitte

The blade has to be sharp to do the job, i'll recom. filter wool to even clean off spot algae on the tank.
    Cheers!

I find the most effective method is to used a used credit card or any other plastic card. They wont trap any gravel and also wont scratch the glass. the only draw back is that u get your hand wet.

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

Tetratec's algae scrapper sux. The white plastic catch holding the blade to the stalk always breaks after some use. And it's not from my opening the catch to change blades.

They just break of their own accord. Maybe the plastic can't take the high moisture or something. I have used 2 and both have the same problem!

Ah Pek sells a giantic algae scraper that makes short work of greenspot algae. Problem is that the angle of the blade is wrong and makes it hard to scrape unless you get your hands wet

mr cleaner's blade is plastic. if you apply enough pressure to scrap off the algae, sooner or later the tube cracks somewhere and it becomes useless.

best scraper is AquaTools by Europet. comes with razor, foam, flat scouring pad and corner scouring pad.

aluminium handle that is extensible, so won't break when you use force (or at least you can bend it back in that situation..lol)

c328 used to carry it, but no more, I just bought one from the fish shop near all those bird shops at near rainbow aquarium.
