Hmm.. got any pictures? Many dwarf cichlids show washed-out or faded colours when they're at the shop, a photo would be required for identification.
Forgot to mention Dwarf cichlid in the title, not those 7 guys with snow white.
In Y618, at the same shelf where they keep their endlers, above their pre-packed shrimp and hillstream loaches etc are a few cubes with dwarf cichlids, most of them pairs. This is the first shelf on the right when you walk into that section of the shop, not the shelf with the feeder fish tubifex worm etc.
I'm curious about a single tiny one that's black/dark brown in colour. What species is it? I'm a noob as far as soft-water cichlids are concerned.
I assume keeping it in my shrimp tank with my microrasboras and pygmy cories are out of the question.
Thanks to anyone who can ID it.
P.S. Oh forgot to ask what kind of habits this particular one has; needs a cave or plants or rocks etc. Thanks

Keeping fish as pets can be a rewarding hobby.
Designing and maintaining your aquariums is a wonderful creative outlet.
Watching your fish swim around is both relaxing and fun.
i was at Y618 last night, saw the little dark cichlid i think you're talking about... it looks a little too stocky to be an apisto.. i'm suspecting maybe Nannacara sp.? Either that, or an highly inbred apisto...
I went down today with my camera and couldn't get a good shot at all. The fish was a bit jumpy also.
