hi Chris, eggs, eprove(steve?), juggler n all, wat ur been toking sound familiar to me cos i just did a major project last sunday which last me till monday moring 8am. shack!!!!( peng san n mia from work hee....)

i empty a 4ft n took out all the fish (to a 2ft pleco tank) n gravel. luckily, it is not planted n the fishes inside are bigger ("pacu",st,it n suckers). transfer the tank to the bottom tier of a existing 4ft planted. Meanwhile, empty another 2ft planted so to reuse the base fert n gravel (of course i add more fert n gravel). then i took out all the plant (trimmed so that i can reuse for lower deck)n fish from the upper deck(put to bottom deck - difficult to catch all fish n shrimp). redo the upper deck n put my st n it inside(dunno tiger can put in planted or not?). then i spilt my co2 tank into two using a spliter.

as u can see i got 2x 4ft n 2x 2ft affected n i'm ignorant n impatient to wait fot the water condition to settle down before putting all the fish in. fortunately, all my fish expect 4 pleco are surviving untill today and my upper planted tank got minor algea attack only. i think i got to thank my luck and perhap my cultivated beneficial bacteria.

hence, i think it's ok to redo a tank without emptying the fish as long as the filter system is mature and disturbance is minimised. besides, i think it's ok to have tiger in planted tank. u guys agree? heeeeeee.... just my 2 cents!!!!!!!

Eh... butterfly fish very territorial one hor, probably explains the sleeping on the sofa. On the other hand, if budak chose a butterflyfish as well, its living hell!

msmurf, I'm Clarence (not Steve). The guy who collected some plants from you in the middle of the night after your majong game, remember? []

As for rescaping, I really would need to wash my substrate. Its kinda turning green. I'm also gonna remove all those fast growers. Must pay a visit to Teo's sometime, get some exotic, more beautiful plants. Everyone's talking about his farm!
