Wow! They are very nice! Where did you get them from?
The snails are all around 3 to 5 cm TL. Have seen bigger ones... around 6 - 8 cm. There are many more varieties.
Will get more either tmr or on Thursday. Havent had time to take pics in their tank.
There can only be ONE
The first two are Tylomelania spp. Not sure about the other two, though the last look suspiciously like a freshwater limpet snail from the genus Protancylus. Got a better shot of the 3rd fella? Side profile perhaps?

That ring a bell, I thought I saw the 3rd and 4th long ago for sales before Sulawesi allow export.
silane
Same as silane, I think the 3rd snail may be in the trade for some time. I remember seeing pictures of these somewhere, quite sometime ago.
Either the distribution may not be restricted to Sulawesi alone, or it may not really be from Lake Poso at all but from other parts of Indonesia. Hmmm...
Saw some for sale on the betta rack at C328![]()

I got the second and third one in Penang before. The third one seem to be hard to keep, and second one are more hardy.
They might not be after all because the place i bought from actually gets some of their stocks from a fish farm. They just happen to be in the tank with the sula snails. Third one might really be difficult to keep.. has gone MIA in my 2 feet.

These snails are available in Jakarta.
Anyway I think most livestock here in jakarta are exported out... perhaps it will be available in Singapore soon.

i have had 2 specimens of the third snail for quite awhile now.. dont think they're from sulawesi. I had thought they were Clypeoma auriculiformis, but its just a random guess from pictures of nerites i've found on the internet. Think they're nerites, as they have operculums covering the shell opening.
