I am pumping my filter outlet to my chiller then to the co2 reactor before going into the tank.

flow rate is a problem even though I am already using the smallest size reactor.

After 1 to 2 days, there will be too much air built up in the reactor and the "balls" in the reactor will stop rotating. Does this means that I am not getting CO2 into the water ? or is it just a case of reduce performance ?

I think you answered your question there. If there is CO2 buildup in the reactor then, it is not going into the water.

I suggest that you pass the water through the reactor before your chiller and increase the flowrate of your filter/pump. That should do the trick.

    Hi,
I think the proformance is reduce only. From your description, I guess you are using a manual Co2 system that on 24 hours. If you use a solenoid and timer than it would not be a built up as you descrided because during timer off the co2 will be dissolve completely before the next co2 input period come on. Your reactor bioballs must be floating on the upper part of your reacter and it could mean that your filter pump rate is too weak. By changing to what Narang suggested would help but if you are using a internal reactor, you my have a problem doing that. Did you check whether your filter is clogged and is your reactor mounted vertically, I am assuming you are using a internal reactor. You can also use another small pump to work with your reactor instead of your filter.

u are right about the manual co2. I am seeing bubble from my plants which I assumed is due to saturation of gas in the water. The water is hitting the air pocket, it is just that the ball isnt twirling and turning.

I will try to find a small pump today. the 2ft tank is very cluttered as it is..
