you may need to get a 2 pin female socket extender from an electrical hardware shop. I only saw it once from the electrician who did some wiring for my home....
There is one end of the heater which is marked in black colour, and according to the leaflet enclosed, it is supposed to be buried in the substrate. But if I bury it in the substrate as instructed, then the 2 pin plug wouldn't be long enough to even reach the bottom of the tank from outside.
How to overcome this? Anyone with experience?![]()

The title below my name does not make me a guru...listen at your own risk!...
or you could just cut the plug end off and extend it with some wire in between (DIY).

Suggest you do as Allen reccomended. Safer and neater. Extension plug would be quite bulky plus the added risk of water dripping into it.
muhahaha... Sherwin I thot your wife giving you the look... haha she not looking you sneak out and use the PC again...![]()

Nick,
If you're going to cut and join, juz make sure it's well insulated.
Thanks all for the reply. Maybe I'll resort to cutting the wire when all other alternatives are not available. Now still planning my wiring diagrams.
