Cost of PL and eBallast

Can anyone advice pls:

1) how much would it cost for 4 x 36W PL and 2 x eBallast (for 2x36 each?) at NA? Anywhere has better deal?

2) how many types of 36W PL are there? Any recommendation for the type? If i get them at NA, i suppose chan will give me the suitable one huh?

3) read that chan charges a small fee for doing tank hood? Roughly how much? With turaco's help, i finally know what's a C-Clip and the hood is dettached now, million thanks him! I am thinking of bring the entire hood to NA and let chan cast some spells on it.

I've just been buying lights at NA.

36W PL in the following types:
3600K (White) - Osram - $15
10000K (White) - Aqualux - $20
Actnic Blue/Blue - Transworldaqua - $20
Actnic Blue/White - Transworldaqua - $20
Actnic Blue/Pink - Transworldaqua - $20
Actnic Pink/Pink - Transworldaqua - $20
Actnic Pink/White - Transworldaqua - $20

If you buy a 2ft eballast casing that fits 1 36W Osram PL tube, it will cost you $60. Upgrade to any of the other tubes, add $5.

2ft eballast casing that fits 2 36W Osram tube, it will be $100.

I don't know the rest... but you can estimate from the above information.

But talk to friendly Mr Chan and he might give you a discount. DON'T QUOTE ME THERE! []

Chan will most likely ask you to bring it down for him to see. Then he can tell you if he can do it for you.

I see. Hi Peter, i think when i posted the msg, NA closed liao leh. I want to bring it down today (sun) which it is only operating for 6hrs? Just to prepare a bit since many had deals with chan before.

He never give me discounts for the lights leh. I bought lights from him sometime ago. Now I saw that he uses elibu or watever, brand of lights with another type of casing. Selling at $100 too. As for the osram lights you mentioned, I thought it's supposed to be 6000k instead of 3600K? Correct me if I'm wrong.

And for those guys who like to DIY, go to kelantan lane if you intend to get more PL tubes. It only cost $6 for 1 PL osram.

NA sale at 14.00 for 36w(Osram) and 15.00 for 55w(I did not ask the brand). And Mr. Chan provide good service as well. He replace me a new e ballast for the one which I bought from him 2 - 3 months ago and just fail to work last week without any question.
