    How much GEX substrate for 2 X 1 X 1 tank setup?

    Hi i'm newbie, may like to consider setting up a 2x1x1 tank.
    How many kg of this GEX soil is needed, what is the colour of this soil?
    Can i get from C328, what the price for a kg?

    I would get an 8kg bag for a 2x1x1 tank. the soil is black/very dark brown in colour and yes you can get it from c328. pricewise, i don't think we can discuss it in open forums and you don't have the pm function yet

    For a 8 kg pack, you can have a substrate of 2 inch thick. If you want to create a slope, you will need more.

    Probably need additional soil for slopes if you want to create depth. The following link gives an accurate gauge to the amount of soil and the depth of the soil in inches.

    It roughly shows 8kg for your tank size.

    4 inches depth is ideal

    more substrate will make your stable faster

    so we should use up the whole 8 kg pack for 2 ft tank?

    for myself i use 8kg in a 2ft
