how do you keep it moist?
i thought should be air tight in order to preserve it?
thanks
nah... just re-used the plastic bag, pour little bit of water and tied it using rubber bandI jeck once a while maybe once a month if not lazy
, just to make sure that moisture still there.
btw what the purpose of keeping it moist?
so that it is not crack/crumble. Originally I keep it moist because that the way when I bough it. After some reading it is necessary to keep it moist to prefent it from crumble.
I just keep it airtight in zip lock bags, and place them in the cupboard. Had mine for about 7 months now. No issue.
mine is dry so i guess will keep the way as it is
white translucent bag + gex package bag + red plastic bag
should be safe enough haha
thanks for the info
During the course of the hobby ,most people do rescaping after a while , maybe create a slope of terrace . It waill come in handy.
It was recommended to change partial of the soil for about every 6 months, the soil will lose it nutrients after been absorbed by plants. It's good to keep some as spare for replacement or when you need to setup 2nd tank as your shrimp populations grow in time.
noted all...thanks
