Pic taken by cam phone, pic quality not very gd. I wanna remove the blue oyama to another colour, black probably, is it a correct choice?? Feel that the black silicon dun go well with the blue oyama. Thanks for suggestion.

i will go for black to contrast the red cherries and neons. Though i feel your tank is abit overstocked but i absolutely love how you managed to grow your HC to this lush and green extend. Very very good !!

The blue background gives the impression of a blue sky. It would have a greater impact if not for the black trimmings of the aquarium.

The rocks seems too small to create an impact. Also in rock arrangements, an odd number combination usually works better.

Very nice and lush growth of the HC. Some Japanese hairgrass in a corner or randomly spread around will create a more natural feel.

very nice growth for your HC, are you using the 70w MH?

i think you might want to change to black oyama paper to suit the black
    silicon.

I got a feeling that's the JBJ Viper 150W MH (with 10K bulb)... no wonder the HC can grow so nicely. I think I gotto try growing plants under MH too

How do you manage to keep your water temperature within acceptable range bro?

Good growth. What are the parameters for the tank? I would go for non back ground also, that way, that gives you an option of changing background colours for different effects.

Yeah remove the Oyama blue sticker... anyway one corner already crumpled. You can use cardboards and computer/xerox generated colour print for experiment too. Try gradient of white and light blue, might looks nice.

Btw, is that a Shiseido Men jar?

Somehow i got a feeling thats the viper MH clip on lightset as well!
Like ong pointed out,i'm guessing the small "air stone" attached to the sides via air line tubing is for Co2.Using the same one as well for all my setups, Dymax brand.
But have to admit...the HC growth looks so good!Do change the oyama and take more pictures again! Also if possible share with us lighting/fert regome?

Yeah there r co2. The co2 tank under the desk. As for fert regime i using ADA brighty k light, juz change it recently from seachem flourish, fert regime is 2 drop of fert from my syringe everyday. Its abt 0.1 ml everyday. This regime work pretty well for me, no visible algae at all for me to clean up despite the high light

YEah u r half right. Its JBJ viper, but 70 watt only. My first attempt under MH light, this light set is perfect for nano high light setup. As for temp of water, i am worry initially abt the high water temp problem when using MH. But the water temp seems fine surprisingly. My CRS and shrimps that is inside this tank for mths r all healthy and growing under MH light

Thanks. Same tot. I will try that. This blue oyama look very out of place imo. Water parameter i not very sure as i nv measure it and dun have any things to measure them. Only know that i use 1 bps for co2, 2 syringe drop of fert dosage everyday. 70% water change every 3 days. Feed fish once a day. Light is 8.5 hrs

Wah steady all correct. co2 diffuser is dymax u also can see. Haha!

    To summarise...
    Lighting : 8.5 hr
Fert Regime: 2 drops of ADA light every day = abt 0.1 ml
Water change: 70% every 3 days

The rock play an important role in maintaining. Also during the initial early stage of the setup, the slop will become less steep as time goes by as HC still haven't grow very well, need to pour sand once a while over the HC to maintain the steepness. The steepness will maintain after HC grow wildly and cover all the empty area.

May i know how u all do the cardboard? Anyone providing such service? I dunno much abt such thing. Hehe. Yeah tats the Shiseido men total revitaliser.

Oh as for the crumple area, its actually the shadow of the outlet tat cast by the MH light, a bad point abt MH is it can cast big shadow into the tank. Some of the small HC plantlet flating of the water surface, the MH light also can cast a big shadow into the tank.

Probably using the same one that's why i can tell! I find quite good, doesn't choke up like the glass diffusor types. Pretty good but can i ask why the 70% water change every 3days? Your fanua can take such massive WC?

Beautiful tank with healthy plant growth! I wonder if only MH can product the creeping effect of HC. Anyone tried with T5HO or PL?
    Cheers,
    U.K.Lau
