Is platy or molly suitable for planted tanks?

Will platy, molly mess up the plant? I know its okay to keep one or two to eat up the surface oil but how about a group of them..? I am thinking about ten for my 2 feet....

Sure why not. But overtime they will breed and their offsprings will cause a headache to you as your tank might be overpopulated.

Should be no problem but mollies have a tendancy for being high bioloaders.

Mollies = loads of waste
Mollies = my plants all eaten
Mollies = faster breeders than freakin rabbits!
Mollies = frantic swimmers that never rest
Mollies = a major annoyance i found

Thats my opinion, they drove me nuts i gave them away xD Nice fish though i must admit
